New To Contact Lenses?
If you’re new to contact lenses, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how far the technology has come. Today’s lenses are remarkably comfortable, exceptionally breathable, and available for a wide range of prescriptions. Whether you have astigmatism or are experiencing the focusing changes that come with “over-40 eyes,” there is a contact lens designed specifically for you.
After your comprehensive eye exam, your doctor will select lenses that suit both your vision needs and your lifestyle. During your visit, we’ll guide you through inserting and removing your lenses until you feel completely confident. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll head home with a trial supply lasting one to two weeks. Your doctor may schedule a follow-up visit to check the health of your cornea or reach out by phone to ensure everything is going smoothly. After the trial period, your finalized prescription will be released, and you can order your annual supply with ease.
Most lenses today are soft disposable lenses designed to keep your eyes healthy and your routine simple. You can choose daily, two-week, or monthly replacement schedules. Daily disposables offer the greatest convenience and comfort—fresh lenses each morning, no cleaning solutions required. Two-week and monthly lenses do require nightly care and proper storage, and for these options we recommend Clear Care and Opti-Fresh disinfecting solutions.
Above all, it’s essential to replace your lenses on time. Once opened, each lens has a specific lifespan, even if you don’t wear them every day. Over-wearing lenses can compromise your eye health, and it simply isn’t worth the risk. With the right schedule and care, your contacts will feel effortless—and your eyes will thank you.
